The Zubie Key is compatible with most cars and light trucks manufactured for sale in the US in 1996 or newer. Our service only works in the US at this time. Check online at http://zubie.com/findmyport to find out if your car works with Zubie!
Hybrids & Diesel Cars
Zubie is compatible with most hybrids. Currently the hybrid cars will display trips a little differently in the trip view. This is due to the way the engine turns off and on the ECU during the drive to save gas. All other features work correctly for hybrid cars.
Electric Vehicles
Electric cars in most cases do not have diagnostics ports and are not supported. We recommend you check the compatibility of your specific car to confirm.
While Tesla vehicles do have an OBDII port, they unfortunately are not supported by the Zubie Key. Tesla uses the OBD *physical connector* but not the full OBD *protocol* that Zubie needs. As an electric car, Tesla is not required to use the OBD protocol like a gas or hybrid car.
