The Zubie Key is specifically designed to minimize battery drain.
When your car is off, the Zubie Key spends most of the time in "sleep mode” consuming approximately 5 mA of battery current. If a low battery condition is detected, the Zubie Key sends an alert and then enters a “deep sleep mode” consuming approximately 0.6 mA of battery current. For comparison, a typical car consumes 30 to 50 mA of battery current when the engine is off.
So we are ensuring that we alert you to a possible battery problem, but are also ensuring that we do not contribute to the problem.
