Getting Started with your Zubie Wired Asset Trak is simple
View our video guide at the bottom of this page or follow these instructions.
- Create your new asset or vehicle in the Zubie app, and connect it to your Asset Trak Device
- Log into the Zubie mobile app or app.zubie.com on your mobile browser.
- Use your mobile device’s camera to scan the QR code on your Asset Trak device.
- This will open the window to Connect Device. Click the + button to create a new asset or vehicle. Then click “Create & Connect”.
- Install the device on your vehicle’s battery.
- Locate the vehicle battery, and carefully loosen the nuts located on the top of the battery. You’ll see that one is labeled Positive (red) and the other is Negative (black).
- Insert the device’s Positive (red wire) connector between the bolt and the battery so that it is touching the shredded shaft of the positive electrode.
- Do the same with the Negative (black wire) connector on the negative electrode.
- Tighten both nuts back onto the battery so that both ends of the Asset Trak wires are clamped securely to the vehicle’s battery.
- Look for the light on the device to turn on. This indicates the Asset Trak is getting power and can function correctly.
- Adhere the device in place
- Clean the surface of the battery and the Asset Trak.
- Use the double-sided tape to secure the Asset Trak onto the top of the battery. Be sure the arrow on the device is facing the direction in which the vehicle will travel.
- Start getting data from your device
- Log into the Zubie mobile app or app.zubie.com on your mobile browser.
- Check that your new asset or vehicle is visible on the Live Map.
Common Troubleshooting
- If your asset or vehicle isn’t appearing on the Live Map, you may not have sufficient cell or GPS coverage. Be sure the asset is in a location with strong cell service and a clear view of the sky, even if it’s through a window.
- If you are still having trouble, review our FAQ page or reach out to Zubie customer support with the device serial number.
- Be careful to avoid positioning your Asset Trak under things that could cause interference or block the device’s cellular or GPS signal.
